There are so many exciting things going on this year at Jackson! I have the great opportunity of working with 4 - 6th grade students this year. 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students will see me for writing in the morning. My homeroom students are a combination of 5th and 6th grade students in the afternoon, where we work on literacy skills. I use a lot of cooperative learning activities in the classroom and enjoy watching my students help each other learn together. We are going to be a great team this year and go for the gold! Go Jaguars!
I have been at Jackson Elementary since 2009. I have taught both 5th and 6th grades during my time here. I graduated from Creighton University with my Bachelor's degree and have a Masters from Concordia University. I have a masters in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Reading Literacy. I also received an endorsement from Concordia to work with English Language Learners.
I am a huge Husker fan and enjoy watching the games with friends and family. I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs outside of school. I spend my free time reading books, spending time at the lake, and watching sports games on TV.
